Push Your Content via 2D Bar Code

Posted by TeamITI on May 20, 2009

What if you could deliver your content from a print collateral (rack card, brochure, business card etc.) or a website to someone’s cell phone instantly? It is now possible with the new 2D bar code technology – for free. (or for a fee if you sign up for a business account)

While you can read up on it in detail on USAToday, let us just demonstrate it here and put it in action, step by step:

  1. On your internet enabled mobile phone, go to www.scanlife.com.
  2. Click on “Download ScanLife” and follow the steps to install the application (it takes 3 mins max)
  3. Click on the ScanLife application icon that now resides on your phone, and click on “Scan”; it will activate your cell phone camera.
  4. Take a picture of the bar code(s) below and watch what happens!
  5. Link up with me/befriend me!

How can you use this for your business? – The sky and your imagination is the limit!

See you in the barcoded cyberspace!
